U8 & U10 coaching class has been scheduled for Wednesday,
August 10 from 5:30 to 8:30pm at the Green
Valley North Clubhouse, 17250 Los Jardines West, Fountain Valley.
Coaches

was held this year.
RazzMaTazz
Soccer, one of Region 5's U16 girls spring select teams, is heading
of to Hawaii on Monday, June 27 to participate in the 25th
Annual Hawaii Rainbow Tournament. Their first game is on Thursday,
June 30 against a team from Kailua, Hawaii. You can follow the teams

Region
5 is giving each family a Community Discount Card when they register
for the fall season. Additional cards are available for $10. Click
here to view a card and all the discounts available. Any one wishing

Region
5 is offering a summer camp for registered players from the
ages of 4-16 years old. The camp is run by U.K. International
Soccer Camps and will be held at Cox Elementary School from August
1-5, 2005. Half day sessions (9am-12pm) are $90 and full days (9am-3pm)

The Spring
Season will begin on March 5 for the U16 and U19 divisions
that are playing with Areas L, K and E. Our U16 girls team, RazzMaTazz,
will open up the season at home (Anthony
School) at 10am on Saturday, while the other U16 girls team opens
season play at San Clemente at 10:15am. Region 5's U19 girls team also
opens up on the road also playing at San Clemente at 12pm. Our U19 boys
team has a bye for the first week of the schedule. The U10, U12 and
U14 Divisions that will be playing with Area K begins play on March
12. Check back later for complete schedules.
Section
11 if offering management classes for AYSO Board of Directors
and staff on Feb. 12 and Feb. 26 in Downey. For more information

All the
Area K All-star game scheduled for January 15 & 16
have been postponed. Too many fields throughout the area were
deemed unplayable due to the recent rains. Games will now begin on Jan.
22, please check the All-star schedules
for updates.
Sign-ups
for the spring season for U6 and U8 players will be on Saturday,
February 5, 2005 at Lamppost
Pizza from 3 to 6 pm. Cost for a new player to Region 5 is $40,
returning Region 5 players from the fall 2004 season can sign-up for
$30. Spring teams for older players is coach driven, players must be
asked by a coach that is putting a team together.
A couple
of Region 5 teams won their divisions at the Hi-5 Tournament
that was played this weekend, January 1 & 2. The U14 boys Plus team
captured first place by winning their pool at Fountain Valley High School.
The U14 girls plus team, Salsa, defeated Los Alamitos in the
championship game at Vista View on Sunday afternoon to claim the Hi-5
Tournament Championship. Click here

Region
5's U 12 boys team, The Red Bulls, captured the Area
K Championships on Sunday, December 12. Racking up 24 points in
pool play they defeated Region 56, 2-0, in the championship game on
Sunday in Orange, CA. They now advance to the Section 11 playoffs
on Feb. 12 & 13, 2005. Click here

Coach using McGarvin/Gillespie Park must call the city
to turn the lights off when they are finished with practice. The phone
number is on the bottom of the field use permit.
